Eli in the Snow

It snowed bucket fulls today! It was so fun. Instead of traversing the treadmill I decided to bundle us all up and get my exercise outside shoveling snow. We had a grand time. Eli loved the snow...until he got cold and wet...then he hated it. But for about ten minutes he was a happy boy! It was so fun to see him explore the snow and figure out what all this cold white stuff was about.

Eli's Birthday Part 2

Here are the pics from the party we had down in Provo. Dan's mom was in town and made this amazing cake. It was the hit of the night. Eli was so cute unwrapping his presents. He got some adorable clothes from Auntie Rachel and Auntie Nikki and even his own cell phone! He also got the cutest wooden pull toy from the Cannons. A good night all around!

Eli's Birthday Part 1

Since it was such a momentous day we had to celebrate Eli's first birthday with 2 parties! We had one up in Bountiful with my family and another one with friends and family that night in Provo. Here are a few quick shots from the Btown one.

Getting Pushed Around

Eli loves climbing in and out of things. Lately he will climb in his laundry basket and wait for me to come over and push him around the house in it. Here are a few shots of him waiting for me in a box...keep in mind I found him like this in his room...

A Perfect Fall Day

A few weeks ago we had one of our last nice days of Fall so we headed out to the park to enjoy the weather.

Eli loves....the slide...kinda
Swinging like a pro.

This is Halloween!

This year the Garfields were Beary exited for Halloween!! Get it? "Beary"??? Oh man. Anyway. We went as bears. Eli was about the cutest thing in the world in his little bear suit. I was formidably large in mine. Dan wore an orange spandex suit. All in all, it was a good year.

A bear on a mission

Notice how it seems like Eli isn't holding still in any of these pics? That's because he's not.

His first trick or treat door!

Enough with this going door to door business. I'll just take my cut from the home bowl thank you very much.

Thing one and thing two.

Blueberries...

Before....

After...

New House!

We are here! After a week of packing, scrubbing, and hauling we finally are at our new place and getting situated. We live on a quiet street and I have already met some of our neighbors thanks to an inopportune lock-out. We have three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, quite a nice upgrade. That means all you people can now come and stay with us because nothing beats exotic Orem! Most of these pics are from our yard. I'll take some of the inside later when we're not flanked by mountains of boxes.

Roses! I have roses!

This is the front. We need to do a little fall decorating.

Indi is loving the big yard for frisbee time.

Picking apples!

Eli loves the trampoline!

Hike Up Payson Canyon

A few weeks ago we headed up Payson Canyon for a lovely hike in the fall leaves. Eli loved watching Indi run around and Dan and I loved watching him giggle.

A Veritable Fair!

We headed up to the Utah State Fair last night and had a jolly ol' time. I hadn't been to the fair in years and was amazed at how little had changed. Eli thought everything was pretty crazy. I think his favorite part was seeing the animals. We were especially lucky to have with us our friends Matt and Julie and met up with my parents once we arrived. All in all...Fair was...a success!

A bunch of crazies!

Eli was taking it all in.

Goat!

We both think the animals are pretty awesome.

Fun Time and FOOD!

Eli has graduated to feeding himself! I'm constantly amazed at how a little guy with only two teeth can chow down. He loves beans, tomatoes, oatmeal..well...pretty much anything I put in front of him. He's an eater. I hope this undiscriminating taste last into the terrible twos!

Exploring some green beans.

I think that's...oatmeal and apricots..

Indi loves to sit sentinel waiting for a piece of something to fall.

More food time smiles!
