Golden Gate Park

Golden Gate Park is about 30 minutes north of us. It's become one of our favorite places to explore when we have an afternoon or evening to kill. The boys love the playground. It's such a neat place. And anywhere with a carousel is great in my book!

Lucas takes his first ride. He was awestruck.

Enjoying our ride.

Sammy climbs up the spiderweb.

There's this amazing cement slide the boys are gaga over. You have to use a piece of cardboard (found in a stack nearby) in order to get traction on the way down, and Eli and Sammy spent about 2 hours running up and shooting down.
Eli and I scale to the top.

July and August photo dump

July and August were awesome! We were busy busy but had a lot of fun. People have asked me how life has been adjusting to 3 kids. I tell them we only have 2.5 at this point, and to check back in when Lucas is mobile. For now, we can hoof it around pretty well and get out of the house whenever we can.

Eli made a hat. I think he's going to be a clothing designer.

Sammy smells a flower.

It's adorable.

The knight in shining armor takes a rest.

Brothers in repose.

Shirt hat. He's got a theme.

Sammy tries jamaica juice. It blows his mind.

The view out our front porch. It's, um, lovely.

My men. love.

We've been getting into art projects more and more lately. My kids haven't been super interested in arts and crafts in past times but recently they've really enjoyed getting dirty in the name of artistic expression.

Sammy shows me his bug bite.

This is what I've lived off of since we moved out here; cheese, meats, grapes, crackers, and dried fruit. We go to a farmer's market at least once a week and stock up on fresh produce. Life could be worse. I'll say that.

Stuck Sammy.

Resting with the babe.

Tricycles .

Fabulous.

Move from Saratoga Springs, Utah to Redwood City, California 2014

Some may say moving 10 days after having a baby is unadvisable. I am one of those people, now even more so. Lucas was born June 24. We moved July 5 to California. It was....better than it could have been, but unavoidably as stressful as it sounds. I think the worst part of the move for me was having to sleep on an air mattress for a week when we moved in. Trying to care for a newborn during the night, plus having a bed that is akin to a trampoline to the older boys during the day, made for a bit of a bad time.

Our stuff didn't make it to Redwood City until 4 days after we did. There were a few perques; the kids loved running around an empty house and I had a few days to catch my breath before the crazy amounts of stuff poured into our house.

HUGE shout our to our good friends Matt and Julie for welcoming us into the area in grand style. We couldn't have done it without them. They stocked our fridge before we got there, arranged meals to be brought in for the first two weeks, and showed us around the area. THANK YOU!!

Lucas and I chilling on the air mattress.

Watching a show on the floor.

Picnic....on the floor.

Our house! My dad drove out with me while Dan caravanned with the older boys. I can't thank him enough for all his help.

Packing up our garage in Utah.

Dan and baby taking a few minutes rest in between boxes.

Memorial Day 2014

On Memorial Day this year we went up to my dear daddy's cabin near Huntsville. This place is Boy Heaven.

Spaceman Sammy.

Grandpa and Sammy.

Sammy loves his helmets.

Daddy and Eli head out on the ATV.

We headed up in jammies.

And headed back dirty and sleepy.

The Fourth of July

The Fourth of July was fun...and a bit of a blur. Lucas was 10 days old here and living it up in red, white and blue.

May photo dump

May was a fast one! One month away from baby and move, we were still hoping around in Saratoga Springs. Here are the highlights from the start of our summer.

Sammy rides his car and contemplates a cow.

Eli and the gang strike up an impromptu band.

Visiting the Living Planted Aquarium in Sandy.

Eli was super proud of his undies hat.

Playdough time.

Naked. Always naked.

Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?

All of the things.

Daddy's b-day.

Resting my preggy self.
