Homefront Adventures: Fairfield, Utah

A few saturdays ago we took a fun field trip to Fairfield, a sleepy little burg about 30 minutes west of where we live. It was hot and buggy, but we loved every minute of it. They boys loved the big park, and Dan and I loved the 30 seconds of history we were allowed to take in before the boys bolted for the big park.

Museum-y stuff.

Eli contemplating the early settlers.

Pioneer-y stuff.

That's a bathtub.

We took the dog. He liked it.

I love this little pose of Sammy before he launches.

Sammy and Daddy have a minute.

Eli reads a brochure.

Caught unaware.

Aware!

A soda moment.

Closer soda.

Hanging out.

Total Eli.

Family Reunion: Alta

This past week our little family joined my large family for a grand time up in Alta for a reunion. We stayed in one of my dad's relative's cabins...a celestial setting to be sure. I'm a little chagrined to see how few pictures I took of actual people and how many I took of the scenery. I'm not sure I can blame myself thought...seriously so amazing!

Brad and I went on the most amazing hike up to the top of the ridge behind Alta. The vista at the top was breathtaking.

 View of the cabin.
The kids were pretty sleep deprived but did an amazingly good job at holding things together.
Love this pic with all my heart.
 Hiking buddy.
A grand group of adventurers!

A final goodbye.
