He had to get three shots and was not happy with me about that at all. He does this awful cry when he gets really mad where he takes what seems like a 30 second breath before he lets loose. I hate the anticipation and the red face. Poor little guy! He's doing much better and I think has forgiven me for all the injustice.

Eli's 6 Month Appointment
I can't believe my little guy is one week away from being 6 months old! He got big so fast! I took him to his appointment on Wednesday and the doctor says Eli is the picture of health. He weighs in at 20.6 lbs and is 27 inches long. Both of those measurements are in the 90th percentile!

This Old House
Monday evening Dan received a frantic call from me telling him the basement ceiling was leaking. Apparently a small leak in our kitchen sink pipes had created quite the deluge down under. So we spent the night fixing pipes and soaking up lots of water. Eventually all the dust (or water, as it was) settled and things are now back to normal. Now we just have to sit and wait for the next home repair project to find its' way to us.
Dan to the rescue! I'm so glad I have such a handy hubby.
Thanksgiving Point Animal Farm
This week I took Eli up with a friend to see the animals at Thanksgiving Point. He was absolutely fascinated with everything he saw and wanted to put everything in his mouth. When a big goat put his hoofs up on the fence to see if we had any treats to give him Eli leaned over in my arms and tried to eat the goat's nose. Luckily I pulled him back in time! His favorite part was riding the horse drawn wagon. I think it was all the bumps.
The look on his face is priceless

Eating Carrots For the First Time
We've been experimenting with various new types of foods lately. Today we decided to give carrots a try. They were a hit! Eli especially loved smearing the carrots all over his face and tipping the bottle over for finger-painting fun.
This is fun and tasty!
"I am a happy mess!"
"Can I have a kiss? I promise not to get you too messy!"
Dan Speaks!
Look at him go! Dan presented an amazing....presentation at a social media conference last week. He rocked it up and blew everyone away with whatever it was he was talking about (I was definitely a lay-person in the audience). Here are some pics I took of him speaking. The camera focused mostly on the girl's head in front of me so Dan is a bit blurry...
